The International Computer Games Conference, organized by The University of Wolverhampton, England, and now in its 6th year, is acknowledged as one of the leading research conferences devoted to the advancement of the theory and practice of artificial intelligence in games development. It brings together an international community of experts to discuss the state-of-the-art, new research results, perspectives of future developments, and innovative applications relevant to games development and related areas. Last year’s conference CGAIDE 2004 at Microsoft Academic, Reading UK, attracted more than 90 participants. Now we are delighted to bring it to the US for the first time.

The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society and is organized in cooperation with the University of Wolverhampton UK, the University of Louisville, Kentucky, the Society for Computer Simulation (SCS), the Institute Electrical Engineers (IEE), the British Computer Society (BCS), the Digital Games Research Association (DIGRa) and The International Journal of Intelligent Games and Simulation.

On behalf of our conference sponsors and the conference organizing committee, we hope that you will plan to join us in Louisville in July 2005.

Qasim Mehdi (General Conference Chair on behalf of the Organisers)
